West has fought along side the crew of the Vision though wars and peace and he has proved his value well beyond his skill in battle. But he’s always known it wouldn’t last. He wasn’t born, he was grown in a lab and the man who grew him wanted control so he built genetic diseases into the template. And those have began to wear him down.

But the crew of The Vision isn’t willing to give up on their friend. So they take him to the exosolars, a group that believes so fully in genetic engineering that they attempted genocide against the lessor humans. There they find empty cities and clues that suggest that West’s creator hasn’t die and may have the solution they are looking for, if they’re willing to take the risks of dealing with him.
