Morric is a member of a nomadic tribe, but his mother has grown ill and is unable to continue to travel. He is expected to leave her behind because of a curse that everyone in the world must wander forever or die. But he decides to remain with his mother in hopes that she will regain enough strength to return to the tribe.

Once in a single place he begins to develop a mystical connection to the land and he decides to stay. But soon he will discover the meaning of the curse you shall wander forever or die.
