It's hard to review comedies. Either you find them funny or you don't. I found Kung Fury funny and I think most people who grew up in the 1980's would as well. But it isn't just a parody of 1980's movies. We've had more than enough of those. It's an absurd story that I hope to see more of.
Kung Fury is a cop who had his partner killed while they were chasing down criminal. When this happened he learned Kung Fury, a martial art so powerful that only one person could use it. The rest of the story is as absurd as that. And at a half hour it's long enough to feel like a real show but not so long to get old. And it's full of odd characters and even has the setup for a sequel that all bad action movies have.https://youtu.be/bS5P_LAqiVg
